Very early on
we have significantly influenced the application of additives in the
industrial
manufacturing of processed foods. With the issuance of a patent in
1929, the Johann Adam Benckiser company achieved a major breakthrough
in the utilization of polyphosphates in processed cheese. Since then,
our JOHA® specialties have been an indispensable
component of modern cheese processing.
We have established technological standards for both products and
processes. In 1937, the FIBRISOL® process for
the treatment of slaughterhouse blood was published. This laid the
foundation for the broad use of polyphosphates in today's meat processing.
In subsequent years other specialties under the trade names TARI®,
SOLVA®, CURAFOS® and BRIFISOL®
were introduced world-wide. |
